Acese supports protests and advocates for reforms in the country.
The Commercial and Business Association of Sergipe says it gives unrestricted support to the demonstrations taking place in Brazil, criticizes isolated acts of vandalism, and defends the holding of a national constituent assembly to enable political, tax, and labor reforms; the entity highlighted that it is essential "to redirect the country's macroeconomic policy, prioritizing massive investments in productive infrastructure aimed at resuming economic growth, in addition to vehemently combating inflation."
Sergipe 247 - The Commercial and Business Association of Sergipe (Acese) issued a public statement of "unrestricted" support for the demonstrations taking place throughout the country, but repudiated isolated acts of vandalism, "which attempt to tarnish the legitimacy of the rich popular demonstrations that capture the minds and hearts of hundreds of thousands of Brazilians, of all ages and social classes."
In the document, signed by the organization's president, Alexandre Porto, the association also reaffirmed its "theses in favor of the relentless fight against the factors that affect the competitiveness of companies and, by extension, the Brazilian economy." "We understand that overcoming these bottlenecks necessarily involves convening a national constituent assembly exclusively to carry out the essential reforms that the country requires, especially political, tax, and labor reforms," he stated.
Acese also highlighted that it is essential “to redirect the country’s macroeconomic policy, prioritizing massive investments in productive infrastructure aimed at resuming economic growth, in addition to vehemently combating inflation”. The entity’s directors and advisors, meeting last Friday (28), when they drafted the note, committed to listing and detailing their proposals, to submit them to the group of associates and subsequently make them public and reaffirm them as the sector’s flagship policies.
