blog do plateau - The Brazil Volunteer program, the Federal Government's volunteer program for the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil, reopens registrations this Tuesday (14). Until March 6, those interested can register on the new portal (www.brasilvoluntario.gov.br). There will be up to 1.500 vacancies in each host city of the tournament: Belo Horizonte, Brasília, Cuiabá, Curitiba, Fortaleza, Manaus, Natal, Porto Alegre, Recife, Rio de Janeiro, Salvador and São Paulo.
The initiative, integrated with FIFA's volunteer program, involves assisting fans, non-accredited press, and tourists at airports, high-traffic areas (such as shopping centers and tourist attractions), around stadiums and public viewing events, as well as urban mobility areas (such as bus terminals and metro stations) and open media centers in cities where this service is available.
Candidates will undergo virtual and in-person training, provided and certified by the University of Brasília. Those selected will receive uniforms, transportation, meals, and life insurance, corresponding to the days of service in the host cities.
To participate, you must be over 18 years old and available to work for a minimum of seven days, consecutive or intermittent. Selection will also take into account participation in virtual and in-person training (attendance and performance), a profile compatible with the area of work, and the number of vacancies in each area of work.

The Brazil Volunteer portal will continue to be the official communication channel between the program and its registrants, integrated with the social media networks of the World Cup Portal. In addition to accessing an exclusive section with information on host cities, news, image and video galleries, volunteers will be able to consult the "BV Answers" section, which answers the main questions about the program. The website will also provide access to virtual training, offered by the University of Brasília.
