São Paulo – Sabesp has confirmed that the water supply in Guarujá is normal. The company stated that a power fluctuation caused an electrical failure in the pumping system serving the Enseada neighborhood in Guarujá. Maintenance was carried out and water pressure was gradually restored.

According to Sabesp, there were no water shortages in any of the nine cities in the Baixada Santista region, in addition to Guarujá, and the water supply is normal in all municipalities in the region.

According to information from the company, 11 liters of water are distributed per second in the Baixada Santista region, which is enough to supply more than 4 million people, considering a daily consumption of 150 liters per person.

Sabesp said that during the end-of-year holidays there were 3,7 million people in the Baixada Santista region, including residents and tourists. "In other words, the system that supplies the nine cities in the region has enough water to be distributed to everyone," the company said in a statement.
