"The Lula-Haddad ticket is unbeatable," says Manuela.

Esmael's Blog - In a press conference in Aracaju (Sergipe), this Wednesday (22), the Rio Grande do Sul state deputy for the PCdoB, Manuela D'Ávila, commented on the results of the voting intention polls recently released. “The Lula-Haddad ticket is unbeatable,” said “Manu” next to Haddad.

“We are, as Cazuza would say, on the verge of a happy day dawning,” said Manuela, paraphrasing the song by the singer and poet from Barão Vermelho. “The polls show that if we take to the streets with our strength, our determination, looking the people in the eye, mobilizing the networks and the streets, we will win the elections,” she said.

“We grow every day. Lula grows every day,” emphasized Manuela, who gave up her candidacy to join the ticket with the PT.

“The Lula-Haddad ticket is unbeatable,” Manuela added, saying that their right-wing opponents “are desperate,” while “we are convinced that we have the possibility of pulling Brazil out of the crisis.”

Manuela recalled that she was in Sergipe during her pre-campaign. “Exactly one month ago I was here at a large meeting in the Legislative Assembly. A meeting where we said that we would seek unity to the limit of our possibilities because winning the elections is an obligation to the Brazilian people. And we succeeded. We managed to unite and today we are with Lula and Haddad,” she recalled.

Manuela will be the vice-presidential candidate on the ticket. Her official entry awaits the decision regarding the registration of former president Lula's candidacy; she could be the vice-presidential candidate for the former president or for Haddad, should Lula be prevented from exercising his right.
