247 - North Korea's under-17 women's football team convincingly defeated the Netherlands 3-0 to retain their FIFA Women's World Cup title in Morocco.
North Korea is the world champion, as shown in the RT broadcast. The players raised the trophy amidst a shower of confetti and applause.
“I am extremely satisfied. Our players played a wonderful final match. It’s difficult to express this joy in words. This is also my first title, so I will continue working hard and striving for even greater results,” said Ri Ui-gyong, North Korea’s midfielder and player of the match, in the post-match interview.
Yu Jong-hyang won the adidas Golden Ball as the best player of the tournament. She also took home the adidas Golden Boot as top scorer for Morocco 2025, with eight goals. Valentina Murrieta of Mexico won the adidas Golden Glove.
