247 - Player Neymar Jr. declared his vote for Jair Bolsonaro (PL) this Thursday (29). In a video on social media, Neymar does a little dance with his hands while listening to and lip-syncing to a funk song that asks “vote vote for Bolsonaro”.
On Wednesday, he had already sent a message of thanks to the president, Michelle Bolsonaro, and Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicanos) for the campaign visit to the Neymar Institute, a social project in Santos (SP). In the video recorded directly from Paris, however, Neymar does not ask for votes for Bolsonaro, only thanks them for their presence four days before the elections.

BRASILIA (Reuters) - President and reelection candidate Jair Bolsonaro (PL) is betting on a direct confrontation with former president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) in the TV Globo debate this Thursday night for a final push in the elections, according to two sources from the candidate's campaign interviewed by Reuters.
According to sources, at campaign headquarters, the debate three days before the first round is seen as Bolsonaro's last chance to try to broaden his electorate and speak outside the Bolsonaro bubble, since it will take place on the country's most-watched open-air TV channel.
According to sources, the candidate seeking re-election will try to attack his opponent by addressing issues such as corruption in the Workers' Party governments and comparing the biographies and achievements of his administration with that of Lula.
As with previous events, the president will not undergo media training—training that would simulate the encounter—but he has been reviewing with advisors and allies the main points that may arise in the TV Globo debate and suggested responses that can be given.
According to the schedule released this Wednesday, the candidate seeking re-election will have no other official commitments on the day of the debate and, according to sources, will be preparing for the meeting throughout the day.
One source admitted that a good performance by Bolsonaro in the debate is vital to winning votes and taking the dispute to the second round, amidst the efforts of the Workers' Party campaign in recent days to secure a strategic vote for Lula in an attempt to decide the election as early as Sunday, October 2nd.
This source considered that the president did not perform so well in the SBT debate last Saturday, which did not include Lula. Bolsonaro was harshly questioned by other opponents, especially candidates Simone Tebet (MDB) and Soraya Thronicke (União Brasil).
WOMEN
One source said that Bolsonaro intends to focus his attention on the debate regarding women, the largest segment of the Brazilian electorate where he has had the worst voting results. The president wants to focus especially on women from social classes C and D, highlighting social programs of his government, such as the Auxílio Brasil (Brazil Aid) program.
Even before the start of the campaign, allies have been trying to do specific work to reduce rejection and improve the president's support among women. However, according to campaign sources, Bolsonaro himself made mistakes throughout the race by clashing with journalists and female presidential candidates.
The campaign even went so far as to enlist First Lady Michelle Bolsonaro to help garner support for the candidate seeking re-election. However, one source acknowledges that Michelle's effect is limited and largely dependent on Bolsonaro's own actions.
"The difficult part is knowing if the president will get the tone right in the debate," this source summarized, after mentioning all the effort during the election campaign.
According to sources, the campaign's strategy is for Bolsonaro to avoid questioning the electoral system, a common tactic when he speaks to his supporters. The assessment is that this type of rhetoric does not help to win over undecided voters.
