247 - World champion with the Argentine national team, Lionel Messi commented on the death of Pelé, who passed away this Thursday, the 29th, at the age of 82, after battling colon cancer. On his Instagram, Lionel Messi shared some images: "Rest in peace," he said. A cold text.

After Argentina won the World Cup, Pelé wrote on social media: “Today football continued to tell its story, as always, in a passionate way. Messi winning his first World Cup, as he deserved for his career. Congratulations, Argentina! Diego [Maradona] is certainly smiling now.” 

Former player Edson Arantes do Nascimento, Pelé, died this Thursday (29), at the age of 82. The athlete of the century and King of Football had been diagnosed with a respiratory infection and had been hospitalized since November 29 at the Albert Einstein Israelite Hospital, where he no longer responded to the chemotherapy treatment he had been undergoing against bowel cancer. Pelé underwent surgery in September of last year and, at the beginning of this year, metastases were diagnosed in the intestine, lung and liver.
