247 - Claiming to be the victim of a multi-million dollar cryptocurrency scam by Xland Holding, through a company owned by striker Willian Bigode, Gustavo Scarpa sought help from his former Palmeiras teammate, currently playing for Fluminense, to try and recover the R$ 6,3 million he invested. Messages and audio recordings revealed in a report by "Fantástico" and reproduced in...would even appear on G1, They show the desperation of the Nottingham Forest-ENG midfielder as he realized he might have fallen victim to a scam.

"I'm sad, man, really. I'm sad because it's my property. It's almost all of my property. I can't risk losing it," Scarpa told Bigode, who said there wasn't much that could be done.

“Scarpinha, now it’s not even a question of trust anymore, brother. The question now is to pray. To do what I know. Now it’s about waiting on the Lord,” Bigode stated, saying that he too was a victim, invested money and was afraid of losing it.

Shortly after, Scarpa tells Bigode that he will file a police report and will mention the company WLJC Consultoria, of which the striker is a partner, and which presented the investment to the midfielder. In November 2022, he filed the report with the police.

“Bigode, my lawyer is advising me to file a police report, man. A criminal one. At the police station itself (…) Out of respect, friendship, consideration, and love that I have for you, I wanted to give you a heads-up beforehand. Unfortunately, I'm going to have to talk about your company,” says Scarpa.

The TV Globo report also shows conversations between Scarpa and Gabriel Nascimento, one of Xland's partners. In one of them, the player accuses the man of theft.

"Rest assured, I want to pay you. I don't want to keep receiving messages from you. I can't stand receiving your messages anymore," Gabriel Nascimento wrote to Scarpa.

"Can't take it anymore? You robbed me, and you can't take it anymore? You robbed my family," the player said.
