247 Iran secured their place in the 2026 World Cup after a dramatic draw against a determined opponent, with Mehdi Taremi shining by scoring two goals. The match, valid for the Asian qualifiers, ended 2-2, ensuring Iran's qualification thanks to their solid campaign in the group.

Taremi, Inter Milan's striker, was decisive in scoring twice, demonstrating his importance to the Persian national team. Despite pressure from their opponents, Iran achieved the necessary result to secure their place in the tournament, which will be hosted by Canada, the United States, and Mexico.
