The partnership is signed amid the rapid expansion of the sports betting market in Brazil
247 - The Ministry of Sport and the National Association of Games and Lotteries (ANJL) signed, on Wednesday (22), a Strategic Cooperation Agreement aimed at jointly creating measures to prevent the manipulation of sports results and encourage responsible practices in the betting sector.
The partnership is established amidst the rapid expansion of the sports betting market in Brazil and reinforces the commitment of both entities to the integrity and transparency of competitions. The president of ANJL, Plínio Lemos Jorge, highlighted the scope of the initiative.
“This partnership with the Ministry of Sport will allow us to implement effective prevention and monitoring mechanisms on a national scale. ANJL is committed to working side-by-side with the federal government to ensure a safe, ethical, and transparent betting environment for all,” he stated.
Among the goals of the agreement are the development of awareness campaigns, the exchange of information and methodologies, the technical qualification of professionals in the sector, and the dissemination of best practices aimed at sports integrity and fair betting. The action plan also foresees the creation of committees and the holding of events designed to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the measures implemented.
