Pelé's body is buried in Santos during a ceremony closed to the family.

The ceremony was reserved for the family and friends of the King of Football.

247 - Pelé's body was buried on Tuesday afternoon (3), at the Memorial Necrópole Ecumênica, in Santos (SP). According to the “Guinness World Records”, the memorial is the tallest vertical cemetery in the world.

The ceremony was reserved for the family and friends of the King of Football.

The idol of Santos and the Brazilian National Team was laid in state on the Vila Belmiro pitch for 24 hours, until 10 am on Tuesday. 

Pelé died at 15:27 pm, last Thursday (29), from kidney and heart failure, bronchopneumonia and colon adenocarcinoma.
