Metropolis - Looking to expand its business in South America, the City Football Group, the entity that manages Manchester City and several other clubs worldwide, has made an offer to buy Atlético-MG. This information comes from GE.
Atlético-MG defeats Cruzeiro in a comeback victory in the derby.
The proposed offer is valued at R$ 1 billion and includes the acquisition of 51% of a potential corporate-owned club from Atlético-MG, which would be created under the structure of a Sociedade Anônima do Futebol (SAF).
The initial offer, however, reportedly did not please Atlético Mineiro's management, who want double the amount offered.
