247 - In an interview with the program Brasil Agora, on TV 247, state deputy Paulo Fiorillo (PT-SP) assessed the election scenario in São Paulo and argued that the progressive camp should intensify the public debate about the state's situation.

Fiorillo expressed confidence in the PT's performance in the state election. "I have the impression that this is an election in which the PT has a very good chance of emerging victorious," he stated.

According to him, the scenario indicated by polls does not yet reflect the real level of public engagement with the electoral process. “Today we talk about polls, but we are talking about polls two hundred and forty days before the elections. Those who are plugged into the elections are us, politicians, journalists, analysts, but not the people,” he assesses.

The congressman indicated former mayor and minister Fernando Haddad as the party's main candidate for the race in São Paulo. "I think Haddad is the first choice," he said. He added that making the candidacy viable depends on internal dialogue. "It becomes viable through the dialogue that Lula has been having with the minister," he stated.

According to Fiorillo, the party needs to present a counterpoint to the state administration. "Our task is to show what Tarcísio's government has been like," he declared, arguing that the electoral debate should include topics such as public policies and investments.

"The federal government has many things to present, to deliver," he said, comparing federal projects and investments with the actions of the São Paulo state government in the municipalities.

Fiorillo warned about the impact of misinformation and advocated for greater speed from the Electoral Court. "We need to demand agility from the justice system," he stated. He emphasized that delays in punishment can affect the outcome of elections. "When a lie is spread, when you don't have swift punishment, it becomes accepted as truth," he said.

The congressman also mentioned the use of technology in campaigns. "We have artificial intelligence, and we've seen how it can be used for good and for evil," he stated.

Fiorillo stated that the party is working to assemble strong parliamentary blocs. "We, from the Workers' Party, are building a competitive slate of candidates, both for state and federal deputies," he said, reinforcing that the electoral contest in São Paulo will require political mobilization and broad public debate about the direction of the state and the country.
