247 - Journalist Leonardo Stoppa stated on the program "Leo ao Quadrado" on TV 247 that Operation Lava Jato attempted to impose neoliberalism on Brazil. According to him, the operation was used to weaken national industry and impose economic policies that favor large foreign companies.

Furthermore, the journalist pointed to US intervention in Brazil as an important factor in the country's current political situation. He argues that the interference occurred because of the BRICS (a group formed by Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa) and the idea of trading in currencies other than the dollar. "We are experiencing the end of the American unipolar world, and Brazil needs to position itself more independently in relation to the United States," he says.

Regarding the possibility of a new coup against Brazil, the journalist stated that the conditions for this to happen no longer exist. "Brazilian society is more aware and attentive to political movements," he points out.

Finally, Stoppa emphasized that the imperialist order is not in Brazil's interest. He advocates a foreign policy that prioritizes regional integration and cooperation with countries of the Global South, to the detriment of relations with countries of the Global North. Watch:
