"Lula governed for eight years, it was a success. It was obvious that the market would celebrate his return," says Eduardo Guimarães.
"Bankers and businessmen experienced the best moments of their lives with Lula. The market in general never made so much money," the journalist recalled.
247 - During an appearance on TV 247, journalist Eduardo Guimarães commented on... Improvement in economic indicators in Brazil after the election of Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT), highlighting that the market experienced its best period during the former president's administrations between 2003 and 2010.
"For God's sake, Lula governed for eight years. You know what amazes me? How did Bolsonaro manage to get so many people spouting the craziest nonsense about what Lula's government would have been like after this man governed the country for eight years? Bankers and businessmen experienced the best moments of their lives (with Lula). The market in general never made so much money," said Eduardo.
The journalist also commented on Lula's stance in uniting people of different ideologies and positions to build his candidacy: "The broad front that Lula built is one of the most important political achievements in history. At a time of conflagration in this country, with everyone on different sides, Lula manages to assemble a surprising alliance, bringing to his side people who celebrated his imprisonment. Brazil needs this, unity, and the left needs to get out of its bubble so that we don't follow a historical pattern in Latin America that remains in this oscillation."
