Latuff: "Lula will have to confront these terrorist demonstrations with a firm hand."
According to the cartoonist, the "lack of cooperation" and "collaboration" that coup plotters receive from public authorities explains the continuation of these protests.
247 - Cartoonist Carlos Latuff, in an interview with the program Giro das Onze on TV 247, spoke about the actions of Bolsonaro supporters who are unhappy with the election results that gave Lula the victory.
"The Lula government will have to confront these terrorist demonstrations with a firm hand. And the people involved will have to be punished for it," Latuff stated.
According to him, the political climate after the elections is still tense. "If this happened in another country, we would have the perfect conditions for a civil war."
"There's even a demarcation of North and South Brazil. It's just that Brazil has always resolved its disputes through 'making do'," he emphasized.
According to him, the "lack of cooperation" and "collaboration" that these coup plotters receive from public authorities explains the continuation of these protests.
“This is the result of the state being taken over by Bolsonaro's supporters and also by the security forces, which is very dangerous,” warned the cartoonist, recalling that “for four years we had commanders of the military forces vociferously attacking the institutions, and these people continue to do so.”
