247 - Professor Gilberto Bercovici, from the University of São Paulo, stated in an interview with journalist Leonardo Attuch, editor of TV 247, that the privatization of Eletrobrás should be annulled. "The owners of Americanas are known for bleeding companies dry and discarding the shell. They adopt reckless management methods. And the Americanas method has already reached Eletrobrás," he stated. "Eletrobrás cannot remain in the hands of the predators of Americanas," he added.

In the interview, Bercovici said that the privatization of Eletrobrás had several illegalities. "Lula should issue an executive order and revoke the privatization of Eletrobrás, but I have the impression that the government is not interested in this matter," he lamented. "It is reckless to leave crooks in charge of Eletrobrás," he warned.

Bercovici also said that, in the Americanas case, there was a failure on the part of B3 and CVM, and also stated that it is impossible to believe in the innocence of Jorge Paulo Lemann, Marcel Telles, and Beto Sicupira. "Either the 3G partners are lying or they are very naive," he says. "The case opens up an opportunity for discussion of neoliberalism itself," he concludes.
