247 - In an initiative to strengthen local businesses, the BNDES Mais Perto de Você (BNDES Closer to You) project held a new edition, bringing together more than 150 entrepreneurs in Boa Vista this Wednesday, the 15th. The action, whose main objective is to present credit lines available for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs), was hosted at the Brazilian Service for Support to Micro and Small Enterprises of Roraima (Sebrae-RR). This information comes from the National Bank for Economic and Social Development (BNDES) itself, the organizer of the event.

Participants had the opportunity to learn about various financial solutions offered by BNDES, aimed at working capital, equipment acquisition, and access to guarantees. This was the 14th edition of the project since its inception last year, following events held in capitals such as Porto Velho, Manaus, Fortaleza, Salvador, and Recife, among others.

The implementation of the BNDES Closer to You program in various states is part of the preparatory actions for the 30th United Nations Conference of the Parties on Climate Change (COP30), scheduled for November in Belém. During the event, entrepreneurs have direct contact with financial agents accredited by the development bank. In Boa Vista, representatives from institutions such as Banco da Amazônia, Banco do Brasil, Bradesco, Caixa, Santander, Sicoob, and Sicredi were present.

BNDES's relationship manager, Cristiane de Jesus, explained the dynamics of the event. “Entrepreneurs seeking ways to invest, grow, and strengthen their businesses also attend the business matchmaking sessions. It's an opportunity for companies that want to have a conversation with financial agents.”

The managing director of Sebrae-RR, Emerson Baú, who supported the organization, considered the meeting extremely strategic. "It allowed BNDES to get closer to small business owners, and the attendees could understand that the Bank is accessible through its network of partners," he noted.

For entrepreneurs, the event was a valuable source of information. Leandro Passos, representative of the Pacaraima and Boa Vista Intermunicipal Alternative Transportation Cooperative (Cotap), gave a positive assessment. “Our team had as many questions answered as possible. Understanding how to access these credit lines will help the cooperative's work.” Edwin Diaz, a micro-entrepreneur in the food industry, saw the event as an opportunity for growth. “In my case, I'm new to Boa Vista, and to stay in the market I need to keep growing. Here I obtained information to increase working capital, to build and acquire machinery, for the growth of my business.”

The superintendent of the Organization of Brazilian Cooperatives System in Roraima (OCB-RR), Jucélia Rodrigues, highlighted the facilitation of access to credit. “Today we had the opportunity, together with the cooperative members, to bring us closer to financial agents. This facilitates relationships and expands access to credit lines for them.”
