Zambelli claims that Moraes is "obsessed" with her and that the minister will "never measure up" to her husband.
The congresswoman is imprisoned in Italy and spoke virtually before the Chamber's Constitution and Justice Committee.
247 - Federal congresswoman Carla Zambelli (PL-SP) stated that Supreme Court Justice Alexandre de Moraes has an “obsession” with her. The congresswoman compared the magistrate to her husband, asserting that Moraes “will never be as good” as him.
“He wanted to strangle me in the sense that I would have nothing and nobody near me,” said Zambelli, in virtual testimony to the Constitution and Justice Committee (CCJ) of the Chamber this Tuesday (24). The statements were published by the newspaper O Tempo.
“A 35-year-old police officer in uniform, who has already been shot five times and stabbed three times, who served in BOPE and SWAT, is a man who could never be accused of having a hair out of place. He [Moraes] will never even come close to Aginaldo,” stated the congresswoman, who is imprisoned in Italy and faces extradition proceedings for being a fugitive from Brazilian justice.
Zambelli left Brazil in May of this year, after being sentenced by the Supreme Federal Court (STF) to 10 years in prison for hacking into the electronic system of the National Council of Justice (CNJ), which occurred in 2023.
