The EU imposes its fourth package of sanctions against Russia, including a ban on imports of steel and iron products.

The EU has also banned the export of cars valued at over 50 euros to Russia, as well as various luxury goods.

Sputnik Brazil - On Tuesday, the 15th, the European Union (EU) presented a new package of sanctions against Russia due to the Russian special military operation in Ukraine, according to a document published in the bloc's Official Journal. The new restrictive measures include a ban on the import of certain steel and iron products.

"It is prohibited: (a) to import, directly or indirectly, the steel products listed in Annex XVII into the [European] Union if: (i) they originate in Russia; or (ii) they have been exported from Russia," the document states.

The sanctions also list measures against Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich, Rosoboronexport CEO Aleksandr Mikheev, and several other business leaders.

The EU has also banned the export of cars valued at over 50 euros to Russia, as well as various luxury goods.

The European bloc also introduced a series of restrictions against Russia's energy sector, including a ban on EU companies entering into agreements with the Russian companies Rosneft, Transneft, Gazprom Neft, and Kamaz.
