Pedro Peduzzi, reporter for Agência Brasil - The deadline for companies with outstanding debt to the Union of less than R$ 45 million to take advantage of the special conditions for debt regularization ends this Friday (21).

This initiative is part of the National Tax Regularization Week, promoted by the Attorney General's Office of the National Treasury (PGFN) and the National Council of Justice (CNJ).

Enrollment must be done exclusively through the Regularize website. The discount can reach up to 65% on interest, fines, and charges. The amount due can be paid in up to 114 monthly installments.

According to the CNJ (National Council of Justice), negotiation is possible even in cases where there are ongoing legal proceedings, or in cases where previous payment plans have been canceled or collection has been temporarily suspended.

"Established in 2020, the tax transaction was conceived as a public fiscal policy, seeking the consensual regularization of debts considered difficult to recover or for which the taxpayer does not have the full capacity to pay and fulfill their obligations," the CNJ (National Council of Justice) reported.

The idea is to enable companies to operate through renegotiation under better conditions, thus preserving jobs, stimulating the economy, and securing funding for public policies.
