247 - Among the legislative changes of Michel Temer's interim government is Provisional Measure (MP) 727, which created the Investment Partnerships Program – PPI; the text promotes the signing of partnership contracts for the execution of "public infrastructure projects" and any other privatization measures, as it fully incorporates the National Privatization Program established by Law 9.491/1997.
According to the Engineering Club, all command and coordination functions previously assigned to specific sectoral bodies under that legislation are automatically transferred to the PPI Council and subject to the decision of the President of the Republic.
