Temer denies creating a mechanism to restrict withdrawals from the FGTS (Brazilian employee severance fund).

Michel Temer said that withdrawals from inactive FGTS accounts, announced by the government at the end of last year, will be of any value, in response to a report published by the press this Thursday (19) indicating that the government would be studying the creation of a mechanism to restrict withdrawals from inactive accounts with higher values.

Reuters President Michel Temer said on Thursday that withdrawals from inactive FGTS accounts, announced by the government at the end of last year, will be of any amount, in response to a report published in the press on Thursday.

The Folha de S.Paulo newspaper reported on Thursday that the government is studying the creation of a mechanism to restrict withdrawals from inactive accounts with higher balances.
