Brazil's Federal Audit Court (TCU) will resume its analysis of the Eletrobras privatization next week.

The court had postponed its decision on the privatization in December, when Minister Vital do Rego requested more time to assess the process.

By Gabriel Araujo and Marcela Ayres (Reuters) Brazil's Federal Audit Court (TCU) will resume its review of the Eletrobras privatization process on February 15, the agency said in a statement on Wednesday.

The court had postponed its decision on the privatization in December, when Minister Vital do Rego asked for more time to assess the process, saying that the TCU (Federal Court of Accounts) needed to be careful, as the measure could affect electricity prices.

The government wants to privatize Eletrobras this year through a follow-on share offering, but the move still requires approval from the TCU (Federal Court of Accounts).
