247 – B2W, one of the companies with the most customer service complaints, closed the quarter with a loss of R$ 42,8 million – about 2.500% higher than the same period last year. Owner of brands such as Submarino, Shoptime, Americanas.com, and Ingresso.com, the company attributed the result to a restructuring of its practices and processes aimed at creating a new relationship with the customer.

The group's consolidated net revenue reached R$ 1,001 billion, a decrease of 2,7% compared to R$ 1,028 billion in the same period of the previous year.

Last year, the websites Americanas, Shoptime, and Submarino, owned by B2W, had their operations suspended for 72 hours in the state of São Paulo by the ProconSP Foundation for repeatedly failing to deliver products to consumers. According to Procon, in 2010 there were 2.224 complaints regarding problems with B2W websites. Last year, this number increased by 180%, with 6.233 complaints registered. Most of the problems were caused by non-delivery of the product or defects in the purchased item.
