PSDB loses Minas Gerais but maintains the highest revenue among the states.
Election performance, with the re-election of governors Geraldo Alckmin (SP) and Beto Richa (PR), kept PSDB's revenue at R$ 234,51 billion (30% of the total, which was R$ 783,53 billion in 2015); this value could still reach 40% of the total, still below the 50,3% registered in 2010 with Minas Gerais; while the PT closed the first round with R$ 120,8 billion or 15,4% of the revenue share and could still win another 11,4% of the total in the contests in Ceará, Mato Grosso do Sul, Rio Grande do Sul and Acre.
247 – The PSDB party of presidential candidate Aécio Neves lost the vote in his home state of Minas Gerais to the PT party, thus losing control of the second largest state revenue in the country after 16 years.
However, the party still secures the largest share of state revenue. The governor of São Paulo, which holds almost 25% of the total revenue, Geraldo Alckmin, from the PSDB party, was re-elected yesterday in the first round. Beto Richa also maintained his lead in Paraná – the fifth largest revenue generator in the country.
Performance at the polls maintained PSDB's control of R$ 234,51 billion in revenue (30% of the total, which was R$ 783,53 billion in 2015). This value could still reach 40% of the total with the open races in Goiás, Paraíba, Pará, and Rondônia – still below the 50,3% recorded at the end of the 2010 elections, with Minas Gerais.
The Workers' Party (PT) finished the first round with R$ 120,8 billion, or 15,4% of the country's current revenue. The party is still in the running in Ceará, Mato Grosso do Sul, Rio Grande do Sul, and Acre, which represent 11,4% of the total revenue.
