Vehicle production falls 14,5% in April.
In the first four months of 2015, 881,7 vehicles were produced, 17,5% less than from January to April of last year (1,068 million); the result for April is the worst in eight years.

Vehicle production in the country fell 14,5% in April, compared to March. According to a report released today (7) by the National Association of Automotive Vehicle Manufacturers (Anfavea), 217,1 units were manufactured last month, while in March production reached 254 vehicles. Compared to April of last year, when 277,1 units were assembled, the drop corresponds to 21,7%.
In the first four months of 2015, a total of 881,7 vehicles were produced, 17,5% less than from January to April of the previous year (1,068 million).
Regarding sales, there was a 24,6% drop in April of this year, compared to the same period in 2014. According to a survey by Anfavea, 243,5 units were licensed in April 2014, compared to 183,7 in the same month this year.
In the first four months of the year, sales fell by 17,8%. From January to April 2014, 904,600 vehicles were sold. In the same period of 2015, 743,600 units were sold.
The total number of jobs in the automotive industry fell 9,5% in April of this year compared to the same month in 2014. In April of last year, the sector employed 154,1 people, and this year the number of jobs was 139,5. Compared to March, there was a 0,9% decrease in the employment level.
