247 - The National Federation of Supplementary Health (FenaSaúde) and the Brazilian Association of Health Plans (Abramge) announced that they have recommended that health plans temporarily suspend annual premium adjustments for 90 days due to the coronavirus pandemic. This information comes from the newspaper... Agora.

The measure will be in effect from May 1st to July 31st and includes individual medical-hospital plans, group plans by membership (from unions and associations), and plans for small and medium-sized businesses with up to 29 lives covered.

FenaSaúde and Abramge state that it will be up to each operator to inform its clients of the procedures for implementing the suspension, as well as explaining to them how the payment of the amounts that were not charged during the 90 days will be made, since it will be an extension of the readjustment and not a discount.

According to the commitment made by the companies, the payment of these amounts will begin in October 2020 and may be divided into three installments.
