Rio de Janeiro - Petrobras announced tonight (5) that the diesel oil sold at the company's refineries throughout the country will be readjusted by 5%, starting tomorrow (6). The state-owned company's statement clarifies that the price of diesel, to which the announced readjustment applies, does not include the federal taxes Contribution for Intervention in the Economic Domain (Cide), PIS/Cofins and the Tax on Circulation of Goods and Services (ICMS).

According to Petrobras, the price adjustment was determined taking into account the company's pricing policy, which seeks to align the price of refined products with the values established in the international market in a medium- to long-term perspective.

This is the second time the company has adjusted diesel prices this year. The last adjustment occurred on the 30th of last month, when the price of the product at refineries was increased by 5,4%. At that time, Petrobras also increased the price of regular gasoline (gasoline A) by 6,6%.
