Petrobras will pay US$283 million to settle litigation with EIG Energy in the US.

The oil company stated that the contingency amount is provisioned in its financial statements and "has been updated since 2022."

Reuters - Petrobras announced on Friday that its board of directors approved an agreement to end litigation with EIG Energy in the United States, which involves a payment of US$283 million by Petrobras.

In a statement to the market, the oil company stated that the contingency amount is provisioned in its financial statements and "has been updated since 2022".

The lawsuit was filed against Petrobras in the Federal Court of the District of Columbia, in the United States, and relates to EIG's investment in FIP Sondas, a former shareholder of Sete Brasil.
