Petrobras signs US$5 billion financing deal with Chinese bank.

The state-owned oil company Petrobras signed a cooperation agreement yesterday with the China Development Bank (CDB) for the years 2015 and 2016, worth US$5 billion; another agreement was also signed between Petrobras and the China EximBank, this one for US$2 billion, which does not foresee immediate disbursement, but partnerships in projects.

247 - Petrobras signed a cooperation agreement with the China Development Bank (CDB) on Tuesday, the 19th, for the years 2015 and 2016, worth US$5 billion. Another agreement, for US$2 billion, was signed between the state-owned company and the China EximBank, which does not foresee immediate disbursement but partnerships in projects, totaling US$7 billion in financing with Chinese banks. Yesterday, May 19th, Petrobras signed a cooperation agreement with the China Development Bank (CDB) for the years 2015 and 2016.

The operation includes financing of US$3,5 billion – already disbursed, as announced on April 1st of this year – and an additional disbursement of US$1,5 billion, totaling US$5 billion in 2015.

The agreement was signed by the presidents of Petrobras, Aldemir Bendine, and CDB, Hu Huainbang, during a ceremony held in Brasília.

This agreement continues the strategic partnership between CDB and Petrobras, strengthening cooperation between the economies of the two countries.
