SAO PAULO (Reuters) - Petrobras President Jean Paul Prates participated earlier this week in a meeting with members of the Federal Audit Court (TCU) to commit the company "to transparent and constructive dialogue with oversight bodies," according to a company statement released Thursday night.

"We are already building a direct channel with the Federal Court of Accounts, aiming for transparent management and adopting a proactive stance towards the TCU. We will proactively bring up relevant Petrobras issues to resolve doubts and create a culture of trust and collaboration between the institutions," said Prates after the meeting.

Those participating in the meeting last Monday included the president of the TCU (Federal Court of Accounts), Bruno Dantas, the vice-president of the court, Vital do Rêgo, as well as the Attorney General of the Union, Jorge Messias, and the Minister of Agrarian Development and Family Agriculture, Paulo Teixeira.
