247 - The president of IEDI (Institute for Studies for Industrial Development) and advisor to Natura, Pedro Passos, has once again criticized economic policy. Recently, the businessman stated that business confidence no longer exists in the country.

In the article, he discusses a climate of discouragement linked to the expectation of another year of weak growth, associated with the World Cup starting in June and presidential elections in the second half of the year.

According to him, it is unacceptable to postpone until 2015 the reforms to boost domestic activity and integrate the country into the global economy. "In a mature democracy—and that is what we aspire to for the country—elections are the opportune moment to discuss solutions that allow us to overcome economic obstacles, and not an impediment to the necessary transformations," he said.
