Otto Alencar says the Americanas case should be analyzed by a Senate committee.

The senator spoke of "the complacent eyes of the bodies responsible for monitoring these companies that analyze"

247 - The chairman of the Senate's Economic Affairs Committee (CAE), Otto Alencar (PSD-BA), stated that he will bring the case of the R$ 20 billion 'accounting inconsistencies' at Americanas to the committee.

Ao State St. PaulThe senator stated that he wants to bring representatives from the Administrative Council for Economic Defense (Cade) and the company to the committee for their testimony.

"It was practically declared bankrupt, a very large financial hole, and it's important to know how it happened, with the complacent eyes of the bodies responsible for monitoring these companies," declared Otto.

The senator said that the financial hole discovered at Americanas "is drawing the attention of all of Brazil" and could generate "hundreds of thousands of unemployed people."
