247 - In 2024, Brazil's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) is expected to grow by 1,6%, according to the Global Economic Situation and Prospects (WESP) report, published by the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN) on Thursday (4).

The UN attributes the projected slowdown in 2024 to the lag effects of interest rates on consumption and investment, as well as to a decrease in external demand.

The report forecasts global growth of 2,4% in 2024. According to the study, Latin America's GDP will see an increase of 1,6% that year.
