Brasilia – Sales of motor vehicles by dealerships to the domestic market fell 2,29% in 2013 compared to 2012, totaling 5,458 million units for the year. The drop was driven by the weak performance of the passenger car segment, with a decline of 3,05% compared to the previous year. Meanwhile, sales of trucks and buses grew by an average of 14,36%.

The result was higher than predicted by the National Federation of Automotive Vehicle Distributors, Fenabrave, which had forecast a drop in sales of around 1,52%.
