247 - Despite all the euphoria created by the possibility of the government helping former billionaire Eike Batista, who is on the verge of bankruptcy, Finance Minister Guido Mantega has just thrown a bucket of cold water on the owner of the X empire.

In New York, where he is participating in a seminar this Wednesday, Mantega told reporters regarding a possible restructuring of OGX's debt that the solution for the company "is a market solution, not a government one."

"I hope that OGX can restructure itself as soon as possible so as not to disrupt the capital market," said Finance Minister Mantega, noting that the situation of the company's shares affected the performance of the Brazilian stock exchange, according to an article in Valor Econômico.

Mantega is participating in the seminar 'The Brazil Infrastructure Opportunity', promoted by the investment bank Goldman Sachs, the Bandeirantes group, and the Metro newspaper. The event will be closed by President Dilma Rousseff.

Also participating in the seminar are the Minister of Development, Fernando Pimentel; the president of BNDES, Luciano Coutinho; and the president of the Central Bank, Alexandre Tombini.
