Lula won in 8 of the 10 cities that lost the most jobs in the country.

Bolsonaro already has more votes in 6 of the 10 municipalities that opened the most job vacancies.

247 - In the ten cities that lost the most formal jobs in 2022, eight of them gave more votes to former president and candidate Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) than to Jair Bolsonaro (PL) in the first round.

According to the survey, published by Folha de S. Paul Based on data from the Superior Electoral Court (TSE) and the General Registry of Employed and Unemployed Workers (Caged), from the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, the four cities that lost the most jobs up to August, in absolute numbers, are in the Northeast region and registered negative balances of more than 2.200 jobs each: Sirinhaém (PE), Capela (SE), São José da Laje (AL) and Rio Formoso (PE).

Conversely, when considering the 10 cities that created the most formal jobs in the year, the current president obtained more votes than the other candidates in 6: Rio de Janeiro (47%), Brasília (51,6%), Belo Horizonte (46,6%), Curitiba (55,3%), Goiânia (56,1%) and Manaus (53,6%).
