IPC-S registers inflation again in September, says FGV.

Price increase comes after two consecutive drops in July and August.

Agency Brazil - The Weekly Consumer Price Index (IPC-S) measured by the Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGV) recorded inflation of 0,02% in September of this year.

The price increase was observed after two consecutive price drops: in July (-1,19%) and in August (-0,57%).

Four of the eight expense categories surveyed by FGV experienced inflation: food (1,34%), clothing (0,47%), health and personal care (0,45%), and miscellaneous expenses (0,30%).

On the other hand, four expense categories registered deflation in the month: housing (-0,70%), education, reading and recreation (-4,06%), transport (-4,81%) and communication (-0,09%).
