Ineep: Despite the global rise in oil prices, domestic prices remained stable in June.
However, Ineep assessed that the final consumer prices did not reflect the recorded decrease.
247 - Ineep (Institute for Strategic Studies of Oil, Natural Gas and Biofuels) released, this Monday (July 14), its report, referring to the previous month, on fuel prices in the Brazilian market.
In its assessment, Ineep considered that, despite the price volatility recorded in the global market in June, Petrobras, through its pricing policy, managed to stabilize the situation in the domestic market, as shown in Figures 1 and 2.
"Despite the 10,8% increase in Brent crude prices compared to the previous month, fuel prices in Brazil remained stable throughout the month," says Ineep, mentioning the effects of the Israel-Iran conflict on global fuel prices.
However, Ineep assessed that final consumer prices did not reflect the recorded drop. "In any case, even though ethanol prices and the values practiced by Petrobras refineries fell or remained stable in June, this movement has not yet been reflected with the same intensity in final consumer prices," says the bulletin.
