Lula's government will allocate more than R$ 40 billion to city infrastructure and social programs.
The new PAC Selections program will open registrations for the second phase starting next Monday.
247 - The federal government announced an investment of R$ 40,7 billion to strengthen the infrastructure of Brazilian cities and expand social programs, such as Minha Casa, Minha Vida and Água para Todos. The new phase of Novo PAC Seleções will allow states and municipalities to register projects from next Monday (24), including the construction of 110 thousand homes in urban areas.
The second phase of the program foresees the selection of projects in seven strategic areas, within the Sustainable and Resilient Cities axis, with a total investment of R$ 38,7 billion. Of this amount, R$ 18,1 billion will be allocated to the construction of new housing units through the Minha Casa, Minha Vida program.
Furthermore, the federal government reinforced its commitment to universal access to water, allocating R$ 2 billion to the "Water for All" initiative, focusing on improving water supply services.
