247 - The national president of the PT, Gleisi Hoffmann, criticized this Sunday (26) the predictions of financial market experts about the growth of the Brazilian economy in the last four years. According to a survey carried out by UOL, the financial market was wrong about 95% of its bets on inflation, GDP, interest rate, exchange rate and stock market between 2021 and 2024.

“A survey published without much fanfare yesterday on UOL compared market forecasts with the results of the economy at the end of each year and showed that the 'experts' were wrong 95% of the time in their predictions about inflation, GDP, interest rates, exchange rates, and the stock market between 2021 and 2024. Regarding the first four indicators, which are measured by the famous Central Bank Focus Bulletin, they didn't get any right,” said Gleisi.

The congresswoman pointed to the hypocrisy of the financial market, which wants to dictate monetary policy but cannot accurately predict the national economy. "And these are the same people who intend to dictate monetary policy, fiscal policy, the size of the budget, and even the behavior of government officials. Give me a break…," criticized the president of the PT (Workers' Party).
