Finance Ministry confirms Nelson Barbosa's departure in June.
According to the statement, the executive secretary of the Ministry of Finance, Nelson Barbosa, requested his resignation from the Minister of Finance, Guido Mantega, for personal reasons; the deputy executive secretary, Dyogo de Oliveira, will assume the position on an interim basis until Mantega chooses a new name for the post "in due course".

Brasilia - The executive secretary of the Ministry of Finance, Nelson Barbosa, will leave his post in June. The information was released in a press note this afternoon (13) by the ministry's communications office.
According to the statement, Barbosa requested his resignation from the Finance Minister, Guido Mantega, for personal reasons. The statement also indicates that the deputy executive secretary, Dyogo de Oliveira, will assume the position on an interim basis until Mantega chooses a new name for the post "in due course."
The current executive secretary has been in government since 2003 and has been part of Mantega's team since his tenure at the Ministry of Planning. At the Ministry of Finance, he held the positions of Secretary of Economic Monitoring and Secretary of Economic Policy. Barbosa assumed the post of executive secretary in 2011, replacing Nelson Machado.
