247 - Former Planning Minister Nelson Barbosa and former Social Development Minister Tereza Campello have accepted the invitation from the future president of the National Bank for Economic and Social Development (BNDES), Aloizio Mercadante, and will join the team that will lead the development bank in the government of President-elect Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT), according to the newspaper. Nelson Barbosa was part of the Working Group (GT) of the government transition team and was considered to take over the Planning portfolio, which will be recreated in the future government.

"Tereza Campello was already being considered for a return to the Social Development portfolio, which will be recreated by the elected government. But the ministry is on track to be handed over to Senator Simone Tebet (MDB-MS), who finished third in the presidential race and supported Lula in the runoff," the report highlights.
