In another reversal, the US removes tariffs on iron-nickel from Brazil.

The Trump administration also removed the tariff on most Brazilian pulp exports.

Reuters - Brazil's Ministry of Development, Industry, Trade and Services (MDIC) announced on Thursday that a decree issued by the United States government last week removed the 10% tariff on most Brazilian exports of pulp and iron-nickel to the country.

According to the MDIC (Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade) statement, these products are now free from any additional US tariffs, whether the 10% rate imposed universally by President Donald Trump's administration or the 40% surcharge placed on Brazilian products last month.

The surcharge was imposed by Trump, among other reasons, because of what he sees as a "witch hunt" against former President Jair Bolsonaro, who was earlier convicted by the First Panel of the Supreme Federal Court (STF) for attempted coup d'état and other crimes.
