Public coffers are bleeding due to advertising spending for the pension reform.

The federal government has already spent R$ 183 million since the end of 2016 on advertising campaigns, research, and even websites that no longer exist, to improve the image of the pension reform; of this sum, authorized during the Temer administration, the Bolsonaro government has already spent more than R$ 12 million on campaigns about the topic.

247 - The federal government has already spent R$ 183 million since the end of 2016 on advertising campaigns, research, and even websites that no longer exist, to improve the image of the pension reform. Of this sum, authorized during the Temer administration, the Bolsonaro government has already spent more than R$ 12 million on campaigns about the topic. 

Considered the most important measure to be approved by Congress, the pension reform is far from popular, leading the government to spend vast sums of money on advertising campaigns to make it more palatable.

The information regarding advertising spending in favor of the pension reform comes from UOL, which indicates in a report that in 2017 the government spent R$ 103 million. The following year, the last of his administration, Temer paid R$ 79 million. 

The report shows that the advertising campaign even paid for a website that no longer works.
