Caixa launches no-annual-fee credit card for teachers.
New card with no annual fee and easy credit is part of the More Teachers program.
247 - Teachers in the public and private school systems will have access to new financial benefits, including a credit card with no annual fee, loans with special conditions, discounts on payroll deductions and advances with a rate of 1,4% per month. The announcement was made this Thursday (15) by the president of Caixa Econômica Federal, Carlos Vieira, at a ceremony in Rio de Janeiro.
The event took place at the Isabel Salgado Olympic Educational Gymnasium (GEO) in Barra da Tijuca, in the western part of the city. The space, built for the Olympic Games and converted into a public school, hosted approximately 3 teachers from different school systems. President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva was present at the ceremony.
CNDB and the More Teachers program
According to the newspaper The State of S. PaulThe benefits will be made available through the Brazilian National Teacher Card (CNDB), an instrument that is part of the More Teachers program. The objective of the initiative is to increase the appreciation and qualification of education professionals in the country.
The president of Caixa highlighted the importance of the project. "The goal is to offer teachers better credit conditions and benefits that help them in their daily lives, recognizing the importance of these professionals to society," stated Carlos Vieira.
Partnership with iFood
During the event, a partnership between the Ministry of Education and iFood was also announced, which will provide special discounts to teachers. This measure is part of a strategy to offer additional benefits to CNDB beneficiaries, seeking to support the category not only professionally, but also in their daily lives.
