Bolsonaro releases R$ 36 billion for restaurants and bars to pay employee salaries.

The Provisional Measure also serves to postpone tax and contribution payments.

247 -Jair Bolsonaro signed a Provisional Measure releasing 36 billion reais from the Workers' Assistance Fund (FAT) to pay the salaries of employees in bars and restaurants – the establishments most affected by the coronavirus crisis. The Provisional Measure aims to guarantee salary payments for three months.

Before going to Congress, the provisional measure was sent to the Supreme Federal Court (STF) for approval of certain items.

With this measure, salaries up to R$ 3 can be fully paid with these R$ 36 billion. The provisional measure also serves to postpone tax and contribution payments.
