247 - In recent years, the Brazilian Development Bank (BNDES) has intensified its financial support for Embraer, with a significant volume of resources directed primarily towards aircraft exports and the technological advancement of the Brazilian aeronautical industry. Between January 2023 and December 2025, the bank approved R$ 28,8 billion for the company, consolidating one of the largest development operations ever carried out in the sector.

Of that total, R$ 27,13 billion was allocated to financing the export of 169 aircraft produced by Embraer. This information was published in the Painel SA column of the newspaper... FSP, which obtained the data directly from BNDES. The remaining amount, R$ 1,68 billion, was released for projects to develop new technologies, expanding the company's operations in strategic areas.

Part of these resources includes support for Eve Air Mobility, an Embraer subsidiary focused on the urban air mobility market. The company works on the development of electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft, eVTOLs, popularly known as flying cars. In December, Eve announced the approval of R$ 200 million in financing from BNDES specifically for this project.

The total amount approved since 2023 also includes recent releases that have not been officially announced. According to the bank, for contractual reasons, the amounts and specific projects to which these new resources will be allocated cannot yet be disclosed.

The financial support granted to Embraer in the current period represents significant growth compared to previous years. According to data from BNDES, the resources injected since 2023 are 108% higher than the total allocated to the company during the entire previous administration, between 2019 and 2022, when financing totaled R$ 13,8 billion.

In addition to the credit lines, the bank also increased its shareholding in Eve Air Mobility. The stake was acquired after an additional investment of R$ 405,3 million made through BNDESPar, the investment arm of the development bank.

Commenting on the strategy, the president of BNDES, Aloizio Mercadante, highlighted the role of public financing in the country's industrial policy. "Supporting Brazilian companies, such as Embraer, to conquer more and more new markets around the world is one of the main pillars of the New Industry Brazil, the industrial policy of President Lula's government," he stated.

Mercadante also highlighted the broader impact of export-oriented credit operations. "Between January 2023 and December 2025, the bank has already financed exports of a wide variety of national products with R$ 56 billion, contributing to strengthening companies and generating skilled jobs."
