Water in Budweiser beer?

247 - Anheuser-Busch, a company belonging to the Belgian-Brazilian group AB InBev, owned by businessman Jorge Paulo Lemann, which recently acquired Heinz, has been sued by consumers in San Francisco, California. According to the class-action lawsuit, the company is allegedly "falsely labeling the alcohol content of its products."

The lawsuit involves ten beverage brands, including Budweiser. The action alleges that the practice of watering down beer began after Anheuser-Busch merged with AB InBev in 2008, becoming the world's largest producer of alcoholic beverages. "Following the merger, Anheuser-Busch began using deceptive practices, compromising the quality of its products in order to reduce costs," the lawsuit states.

Consumers are demanding compensation for damages and losses incurred over the past five years. In a statement, Anheuser-Busch says the allegations are completely false.
